Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Vicus — a cozy community built to support caregivers. These Terms & Conditions explain how the app works, what we expect from everyone here, and how we keep things safe and supportive. We kept the legal bits clear — and a bit kinder.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Vicus (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. Simple as that.
2. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for users who can form legally binding agreements. If you’re under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), please do not use the app unless a parent or guardian signs up for you.
3. Description of the Service
Vicus helps caregivers create a private community to request and offer support, share updates, and coordinate care. We provide tools for messaging, requests, reminders, and community management.
4. Account responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials safe. You’re responsible for actions taken through your account.
- Be truthful in the information you share with us and in your profile.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, please contact us immediately at support@vicus-app.com.
5. Community guidelines (be kind — seriously)
We designed Vicus for safety, warmth, and practical help. By participating, you agree to:
- Treat others with respect. Hate, harassment, or discrimination won’t fly.
- Share accurate information about care needs. Don’t impersonate others or post harmful advice.
- Respect privacy. Don’t post or share someone else’s personal info without consent.
We reserve the right to warn, suspend, or remove accounts that break these rules. If you see something concerning, please flag it to us.
6. Content: yours and ours
You retain ownership of the content you create (messages, photos, lists). By posting content, you grant Popas Ventures LLC a license to use, host, and display that content to provide the Service—but we don’t claim ownership. If you remove content, we’ll generally stop showing it, though copies may persist in backups for a short time.
7. Privacy
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Please read it — it’s the best place to understand how we handle personal information.
8. Third-party services
The app may link to or integrate third-party tools (payment processors, messaging gateways, maps). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We’re not responsible for their practices.
9. Payments & purchases (if applicable)
If you make purchases (e.g., premium features), payment processing is handled by third parties. Refunds and billing disputes are subject to the payment provider’s rules and our billing FAQ.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, violate the Community Guidelines, or threaten safety. We’ll try to be fair — and we’ll usually notify you if possible.
11. Disclaimers & limitations
We built Vicus to support caregivers, but the Service does not provide medical, legal, or professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals for medical or legal issues. The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Popas Ventures LLC disclaims implied warranties.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Popas Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for most claims is limited to an amount up to the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months (if any).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Popas Ventures LLC from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

17. A friendly closing note
Thanks for being part of Vicus. We know caregiving can be messy and beautiful at the same time — we built this space to make it a little gentler.
